Example 3: What I am gonna say is that I have not watched so many films so far. But the time I watched The Shawshank Redemption in the cinema several years ago, I was greatly shocked and I was afraid that words could hardly express my feelings exactly and clearly.

Tim Robbins, the leading actor, acted the hero Andy Dufresne who impressed me most. I am fond of this film, because it has vividly brought to light（揭露或暴露） the true essence of friendship and the weaknesses of human nature.

In addition, some life philosophy is revealed, too. For instance, three times of redemption are most fascinating details in this film. The first time happened when he successfully helped Hadley evade tax（逃税）, in return, he got three bottles of beer for everyone. “We sat and drank with the sun on our shoulders, and felt like free men. We were the Lords of all Creation. And the second time was that in the office of prison guard, Andy played Le Nozze di Figaro by the means of broadcasting. “It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our little drab cage and made these walls dissolve away. . .and for the briefest of moments—every last man at Shawshank felt free”. The third time occurred when he built a library, after three years of hard-work. “Fear can hold you prisoner, hope can set you free. A strong man can save himself; a great man can save another.” What is more, “I guess it comes down to a simple choice: get busy living or get busy dying”. How beautiful and philosophical! In the end, Andy and Red left Shawshank; they won freedom. Besides, they had not been institutionalized（体制化）. Life is a simple choice; sometimes you only need to keep hope and joy in mind, and your life would be bright.

Brief Comment（简评）：Example 3以经典之作《肖申克的救赎》贯穿全线的“三次救赎”为思路，第一次是帮助狱警逃税，为狱友赢得啤酒的奖励；第二次则是在狱警办公室放《费加罗的婚礼》；第三次是为监狱建立了一个图书馆。希望，是整部影片的主题。现实生活中如果看过这部影片的所有观众能拿出Andy十分之一的执着，相信成功不会离我们远去，结局Andy得到了自由，也是人人都想要的成功。感动之余，留给我们无尽的思考：有些希望要自己保留，有些梦想要自己追求，有些救赎要自己完成。正如Example 3最后指出的，“懦弱囚禁人的灵魂，希望可以感受自由”(Fear can hold you prisoner; hope can set you free)。
